My Vacuum Sealer,

Border Crossing
Hey all, I recently went to Montreal Canada for a few days with a
bunch of my
friends, and I had the idea before I went up to bring back some pot
with me.

I'd been there before, and not only is the bud of much higher quality, it's also
much MUCH cheaper, so I figured why not. After doing much research on this
board, here's what I did:
Bought a Foodsaver Vacuum sealer, some bleach, cellophane wrap, and Vaseline.
After purchasing a pound of Jack Herer from my Montreal connection, I broke the
lb. up into halves. For each half, I 1) vacuum sealed it regularly, 2) washed
the outside of the bag with bleach, 3) vacuum sealed it again, 4) washed THAT
bag with bleach, then covered it in Vaseline, then wrapped it in cellophane, then
vacuum sealed it again.
I was understandably very nervous, thus the extreme precautions with the vacuum
sealing. I then placed both bags into a case in which there was no clothing. That's
not to say that there was nothing in the case aside from the bud, just
nothing that would smell.
A few notes before I get to the actual border crossing. All this vacuum sealing
and odor proofing was good, but my friends were all smoking the entire time we
were in Montreal. What this means is, their clothes all smelled and since we
were traveling in the same car, if we were going to get searched, I was almost
sure to be fucked. That's why I placed the packages in bags with no clothing, so
that at least that bag would not have been sniffed by the dogs.
Now, the border:
I'd read a LOT about how border patrol looks for signs of lying/being nervous,
and these are the signs I am told they go by. If you:
A) Fail to look them straight in the eye
B) Hesitate with the answers to simple questions, like "Why were you in
Canada? Where'd you go?" and "How long were you there for?"
C) Stutter
D) Look clearly nervous (shifty eyes, jittery)
So I made sure to look the border patrol straight in the eye, respond quickly,
but concisely to his questions, and pretend like I wasn't going to jail for a
very long time if I got caught.
I was traveling with two other males in the car, so that's suspicious right off
the bat, I'm told. Even with all of that, there were no issues. I made sure to
shave and do my hair that morning, to not give off the "stoner look".
We had no problems. Got across fine, and I'm now the proprietor of a fat pound
of Jack. Another concern of mine was the squishing of the buds in the vacuum
seal process. It wasn't an issue. The buds are really compact but once you open
up the bag and fluff them out a little, they're as good as the day I got em.
P.S. The writer also wanted me to make a note here that all their clothes REEKED
of pot smoke,
When they came back across the border. & That was NOT a
very wise thing for them to be
smelling like with a Pound of Pot in their car. |
