FYI, Here is the data that was generated so far by this email string.
1) The UN survey puts US cannabis at just over $420 per ounce, and an
amazing $1035 per pound on average. I wonder if the "purity" index
refers to THC content or could it be something else?
2) The National Survey on Drug Use and Health price per gram index
was calculated in 2005 at $6.14 per gram; that is, $173.93 per ounce
or $2782.92 per pound.
3) In my experience, court testimony by California law enforcement
typically puts the market price of domestic marijuana in the $3000 to
$5000 per pound range (± $3500 for sinsemilla with ounces ranging ±
$250 - $500). Mexican can dip well under $1000 per pound, especially
in bulk purchases, so you might average in the $500 pound bricks and
$50 ounces with the $5000 pounds and $420 ounces or more if one buys
by the joint, Eighth or Dime Bag, where your aggregate price per
ounce can clear $500 and $8000 per pound. Plus a lot depends on if
you grown and whom you know ... BTW, Medical grade cannabis is less
expensive in the Northern part of the state than in SoCal;
conversely, Mexican grade cannabis is less expensive in the Southern
part of the state than in NorCal.
If there is any further comment, please let me know. Thanks everybody.
