Breeder’s Description – ‘Grapefruit’

A new style sativa; early maturing, fast flowering and maximum yielding. Buds have a soft smell of grapefruit, sweet taste and intense tropical high. This is a 75% C?99 x 25% strong fruity sativa, stabilised on early maturity for some generations now. Plants grow up to 50 to 60 cm, when put under 12/12 hrs after one week of germination. This one is still undergoing a stability-program, although with 80% being winners not a bad choice.

My favorite strain for the moment . The genetic of these cross is 75% Cinderella 99 .

All the seeds popped well and they were 100% female. Look carefully on the seller website, these seeds (grapefruit) are female and no feminised.

This is a strain that can be grown with 12/12 lighting from beginning to end. In fact, it’s highly recommended if you want plants to finish less than 2.5 feet. if you veg them for more than 2 weeks you may regret it unless you have 600w or higher. Plants will not start flowering until they are a month old. If you do 18/6 or 24/0 for veg, you will get really tall indoor plants. 3-4 feet easy. 12/12 is recommended for stealth/low profile grows.

IMPORTANT:
REQUIRES some nitrogen at the beginning of flower. Bud mass forms up REALLY fast so the plants need N and exercise until plants show bud mass. Otherwise you might get really droopy branches. Susceptable to mildew (c99 trait) so spray them with 10% milk, 90% water once during first few weeks as a preventative measure. Repeat if mildew appears. Milk combats it well and the plant likes the milk.

This strain is very very tasty. A favorite.
You may get an occasional short plant that smells skunky. This happens about 1 of every 4 plants. These plants are a pheno on to themselves. 😉 I don’t clone but if I did, I would pick the biggest plant and the smallest plant to clone. 2 phenos from one strain!
Grapefruit is an amazing flavored strain that also happens to kick your ass. One of the most potent I have ever smoked much less grow. In fact I should poke another bat………………………………….
mmmmmm very tasty. Just like the name. Flavor gets better and better with cure too. Still a nice smoke only two weeks after cutting. It’s c99 roots will have you salivating and the increased yeilds will make you extra happy. This strain should replace c99! This strain is for anyone from new growers to commercial growers.

For this grow I used a mix of 1/2 angel moss and 1/2 potting soil. I mixed in 1/2 cup gypsum per plant as a buffer and a source of calcium.
1 125w CFL and large reflector.
Veg was fed with water soluable miracle grow rose fertilizer.
Flower was fed with a bloom booster with lots of phosphorus plenty of potassium and little nitrogen.
Loves epsom water foliar fed once a week or two.
Big fats heads, even with CFLs.

I love this strain. I had no problems with this grow. I had 2 phenos out of 4 seeds. They all pretty much had the grapefruit smell, except for one that was pretty skunky. This was the first sativa I have grown, and will grow again.
