To date probably my favorite strain so far. Evenly mixed 50/50 Sativa Indica plant that has a very large yield of frosty sweet buds. I did recieve a very Indica Afghani looking plant but turned out to be male. The other 2 females were pretty much uniform in every possible aspect.

Grow: Plants were very vigorous… Most of the females were very stout save one more Sativa leaning pheno (my favourite) which grew a bit lankier. All the plants had side branches which kept up with the main colas in length.

Grew these two Bubblegum plants indoors from seed. I had two different phenos present themselves. One leaned to the Sativa side, the other to the Indica side. The Sativa leaning pheno smelled of the famed grape bubblegum while the Indica pheno simply smelled very sweet but not exactly “grapey”.

The BG?s were seeded with the moist paper-towel method, 5/5 succeeded in 10-15 hours. All were potted and put under 2x36W fluoro’s. Germinated 3 seeds, ended up with one healthy female. Vegged the female for a long time (2months) waiting for room in flowering cabinet. flowered for 65 days SCROG style, very manageable stretch.

Germination: The Bubblegum was the fastest germinating strain I ever had, taproot already came out of the seed during the 10hr warm-up phase in warm water.
germ 7/7, one was a bit stunted.

Vegetative: Growth was as expected. the crippled one stayed small, but started to take off after 2 weeks, too late to catch up though, got ripped out.
Growth was not very uniform, I had 2 faster ones, 2 were smaller, and the rest somewhere in between, one didn’t develop right due to lack of light.
Leaves were rather small, apparently an Indica/sativa mix.
The tallest ones were males, 2 got ripped before sexing, and I was left with 2 females/5 plants.
No nutrient burn at any point. Branching was good, yet not really what you want in a SCROG, a bit weak.

Flower:
Stretch as expected for this Indica/sativa, from 12″ to ~4′.
Flowering kicked in after about 7-10 days (flower clusters growing).
The buds were incredibly dense, and not much trimming had to be done, since there were almost no leaves.
Almost no smell, I could almost say no smell at all. When I got really close, like my nose being in the bud, I was able to make out a sweet, very pleasant smell, like…candy. My first impression was, and I bet you didn’t expect that, that it smells like the BG I had in the Dampkring in Amsterdam before.
Flushed for 7 Days, with only water and cannazym, some trace elements were also added.
Harvested at 59 Days. They might go to 63 days to be ripe, but I wanted something a bit less stony…
The BG was covered in resin even more than the K2 I grew along with it.
Smell is sweet like candy, and even though the plants don’t smell much in flower, when dry I just have to open the bag to smell it everywhere. Nothing you can smoke in public 😉

Yield:
~60g (2oz) for 1 normal and one tiny plant.

Smoke report:
Potent…tasty…cerebral…that are some keywords for BG.
Smoke is very smooth and sweet, like the buds. It doesn’t really make you active, it makes one think and enjoy food, socializing, music, TV….
High lasts for several hrs, and looses it’s intensity only over time, sometimes leaves me tired.
During comedown it holds you on your seat…
Not very good daytime smoke unless you have nothing important to do, it’s a party, social evening or lazy day smoke.

Overall Opinion:
Great strain! Tasty, Smelly, Very Potent, Nice High.
Not a big yielder though, still average, and very sticky.

Here are a few notes on these genes.

Expect two to three phenotypes. One Indica-like pheno, one mix, and one sativa-like pheno were grown. The Indica yielded 1-2 oz better than the sativa pheno. The sativa has a nice clear stone with a very light fruity grape flavor. The Indica has a more rel …continued

The BubbleGum is good Smoke. Growing it well it gets a little tall for my taste She can get 6 feet tall veging from seed for only 6 weeks putting a pot under her thats like 7 to 7 and a half feet tall. I had 2 out of 4 females.
As far as cloneing goes she clones easy and makes a great sog.

Vegetation for 3 weeks at 24 hours. Not many leafs and small when they showed. She was top heavy so I strung her up for about half of her budding. She was short but nice nuggets. She looks like cotton candy. Another Nirvana bargin.
